INQUIRIES

To submit a commission inquiry, use the form at the bottom of this page. If you have a very specific idea of what you’re looking for, great! But it’s also totally fine if you don’t. Give me any information you can. What’s your ideal size? Do you have a color palette in mind? Are there specific artworks of mine that you want something similar to? Are there other references you want me to work from or other decor you want me to coordinate with? If you’re working within a budget or deadline, let me know that as well, and whether there’s any flexibility. The more I know the better!


Conversation

I’ll do my best to respond to your inquiry as soon as possible. I’ll let you know if I think your project is feasible, and if so I’ll provide you with an estimated price and time frame. I’ll almost certainly have questions! I want to work with you to make sure we’ll both be happy with the process and the product. Once you’re ready to move forward, we’ll begin the design process. Depending on the scope of the project, I may require a design fee up-front. I’ll discuss this with you as part of initial conversation.


THE design process

Once I have your go-ahead I’ll begin the design process. I will provide you with 2-3 mockups. These mock-ups will be 2-D representations of the finished 3-D artwork. You can choose one of these designs as-is, or request revisions. If you want to see changes, I’ll present a revised design for you to approve. Once the design is approved I will verify the price, estimated turnaround time and payment schedule, and may provide a contract. Every project is different, but typically the turnaround time will be between 4-8 weeks, not including shipping time. Please note that I will provide regular updates during the creation process, but because of the nature of my work, changes to the design will often not be possible once I’ve begun.


PAYMENT

A 50% deposit will generally by required before I begin creating your custom artwork. The other 50% plus any shipping costs will be due upon completion and before the artwork is shipped. I will send an invoice to pay via PayPal, or if you prefer I can accept Zelle, Venmo, or can create a private listing on my shop for you to pay via credit card.


PRICING

Every piece is different, so as much as I value transparency, it’s extremely difficult to provide commission pricing without knowing any details about the project. I recommend looking through the original works in my shop to get a ballpark idea. My prices vary depending on three main factors:

  1. Size - bigger will be more expensive, all else being equal

  2. Artworks with smaller individual pieces, more complex shapes, and more colors take longer to construct and cost more accordingly

  3. Novelty of design - if your custom piece is similar to works I’ve made before, it takes less time to design and plan (and is therefore not likely to require much of a design fee) compared to one that is completely new and different.
